Haiti Relief Efforts

On Tuesday, January 12, 2010, Haiti suffered a catastrophic magnitude 7.0 earthquake, with an epicenter 16 miles west of Port-au-Prince, Haiti's capital. An estimated three million people were affected by the quake, the Haitian government reported that an estimated 316,000 people had died, 300,000 had been injured and 1,000,000 made homeless.

In response to the great number of Konica Minolta employees looking to help, The CTF partnered with the American Red Cross to implement an immediate employee fundraiser geared towards providing immediate humanitarian needs. As per the American Red Cross, approximately 69 percent of all raised funds committed went to food and water; 20 percent was allocated for shelter; and the rest was dedicated for health and family services.

Thanks to generosity of Konica Minolta employees and a Corporate Matching Plan, The CTF raised over $31,000 for this important initiative.
